Performance additives:
Although PEEK is an amazing engineering plastic, manufacturers have further enhanced the material by adding such materials as glass fibre and carbon fibre which improve rigidity and toughness. Bearing grade PEEK has been developed to provide an outstanding material which has 10% carbon, 10% graphite and 10% PTFE. This is a black material which increases its wear resistance even further and also improves the co-efficient of friction and machineability.

Carbon filled PEEK Sheet is also an excellent heat dissipative product, transferring heat from the important bearing surfaces. Glass filled grade has a much lower thermal expansion rate as well as improved rigidity.
