Advantages of PEEK Sheet:
The most important feature of PEEK, is its high temperature operation and resistance and its ability to withstand such high temperatures without breakdown. PEEK Sheet also offers very low friction and abrasion resistance which means it is very good for slideways or wearblocks. PEEK Sheet has a fire rating of V.0 which is the highest available and also has very low smoke or toxic gas imisions if it does come in contact with flames. It has excellent abilities with high temperature and pressure steam or water which means it can withstand the constant sterilization processes that sergical instruments have to endure. PEEK Sheet is very impact resistant and tough which helps in environments where mechanical abuse comes into play. PEEK Sheet also has very high tensile properties which exceed most other engineering plastics. It is also resistant to radiation including Gamma and also X-ray. PEEK is also F.D.A approved which means that it is one of the plastics that can be used within the food industry and is safe to come into direct contact with food products.
